It is okay for you to arrange for your child to be collected by a relative or friend. You will need to give them a password to use when they come in to collect your child. If anyone arrives to collect your child without prior notification and there is no prior agreed password we will not let your child leave with them.

Yes we are closed for all Bank holidays and for one week between Christmas and New Year. There is no charge for these closure days.
Yes we are already registered to most childcare voucher schemes, if we are not registered with your chosen childcare voucher provider it is simple for us to sign up.
Fees are payable monthly in advance preferably by BACs. In some circumstances weekly payments can be agreed. It is also possible to pay in person by cash. We cannot, at this time, take card payments.
If your child is unwell before coming to the setting we ask that you telephone or email to let us know they will not be attending that day. If your child is taken ill whilst at the setting we will treat the symptoms of their illness as best we can and telephone to let you know. Children who are suffering or have suffered a bout of sickness and/or diarrhoea must not return to the setting until they are 48 hour clear from the last episode of sickness and/or diarrhoea.
We use a fantastic piece of software called Tapestry to make home links. Tapestry allows us to share with parents all the amazing fun we have day to day here at K2 Pre-School Academy. There is also a verbal handover at the end of each child's session from a member of the team who has spent time with them that day.
All staff, where possible have up to date paediatric first aid training.
Government funded hours can be booked for use during term time only for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks or all year round for 10 hours per week for 51 weeks of the year. We offer either 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm in any given day and you can mix and match your sessions to a total of either 15 or 10 hours, only one session can be booked in any one day.

Yes. You can access childcare for free by using only the Government funded hours.
You can build additional attended hours around the funded sessions and the amount claimed for your Government funded hours will be deducted from your invoice.
If you choose for your child to have breakfast or a cooked lunch then you will incur charges.
We also ask for a consumables contribution from families accessing 3 and 4 year funding with us to ensure that we can maintain high quality activities for the children; please refer to the fees and funding tab for more information on charges.
- A non-refundable £30 processing fee will be applied upon application.
- Where the application is for a 2, 3 or 4 year old Free Entitlement place where no fee is applicable the £30 processing fee will be deemed a deposit, and refunded after final funding submissions have been verified with the local authority (known as headcount day) non-refundable if placement is not taken up.
- Where the application if for a fee paying place, upon receiving an offer a registration fee of £70 will apply (unlike some nurseries we do not ask for a month’s fees as a deposit), refundable when your child leaves, non-refundable if placement is not taken up or an unpaid balance is on the account at time of leaving.
We recommend that children attend for a minimum two days a week as a child who attends on only one day a week may find it more difficult to settle.
We work to the guidelines of the Statutory Framework of the Early Years Foundations Stage which states a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children under 2 years of age, 1 adult to 4 children aged between 2 and 3 years and 1 adult to 8 children aged 3 years and over.
All staff are required to have in place an up to date Disclosure and Barring Service check. In addition to this an employees work history and qualifications are checked and references acquired.
