Hi All,

Despite our best efforts to remain open over this crucial time for critical workers. Due to the complexities Covid-19, our setting unfortunately needs to close. Our last day will be Today (Thursday 26 March 2020)

If you are a critical worker or the parent/carer of a vulnerable child, the Family Information Service is offering a brokerage service to enable you to make new, or additional childcare arrangements, including childminders, should you require them.

Please feel free to call us on 01243 777807

or email us family.info.service@westsussex.gov.uk

Opening hours are weekdays 8.00am-6.00pm (4.30pm Friday)

Information on who qualifies as a critical worker can be found by:

  • Visiting www.gov.uk
  • Searching for “covid-19 maintaining educational provision
  • Clicking the article titled “Coronavirus (COVID-19): maintaining educational provision
  • Clicking the link titled “Guidance for schools, childcare providers, colleges and local authorities in England on maintaining educational provision” found under the heading “Documents”

You may also wish to use our searchable website www.westsussex.gov.uk/fis which includes details of childcare providers who are remaining open to support parents who are key workers and vulnerable children.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for you ongoing support and for following the government directives over this difficult time.

Keep up to date with us by following emails, facebook and the news page of our website.

Nicky has also set up a public page which can be viewed without a facebook account for those of you whom are not regular users of the platform to help with home activity ideas.

The management team will be monitoring emails over the duration of the closure should you need to contact us. However, replies may be slower than usual.

I would also like to extend special thanks to our staff team;  each and every one of you has shown incredible courage, commitment and an unwavering display of positivity over this very difficult and uncertain time we find ourselves in, often at personal sacrifice. I think I speak for the whole management team when I say I could not be prouder of all of you and can’t wait to continue working with you once normality resumes.

Keep well and stay safe all.

Aiden, on behalf of

K2 Pre-School Academy Management Team
